Agreement on oil supplies will improve Belarus’ economic situation

Russia has agreed to supply 21 million tons of oil via pipelines and 2 million tons by rail. This implies full capacity load for oil refineries in 2014, improvement in their production performance, as well as growth in exports of petroleum products in physical terms, improvement in financial performance and increase in revenues from the refinery industry. The agreement on oil supply may also mean that Belarus will be able to supply some goods to the Russian market in the future, and that Russia has increased indirect assistance to Belarus.
