The situation has not changed
SBIO at ‘Solidarity with Belarus 2014’ concert in Warsaw

Solidarity with Belarus Information Office (SBIO) took part in this year’s ‘Solidarity with Belarus’ concert, held in Warsaw’s city centre on the evening of April 11th, 2014. Hosting a stand near the main stage, we met a diverse range of people – Poles, Belarusians, Poles with Belarusian roots, young, old…all who care about the situation in Belarus and wanted to find out more.

The “Solidarity with Belarus – 2014” concert, featuring ‘Liapis Troubetzkoy’, ‘Kazak Systems’, ‘Maleo Reggae Rokers’ and ‘Amarok’ took place in Warsaw for the 8th time. The concert aimed to give the opportunity to those who live in Warsaw to express their support for civil society in Belarus, to remember and support Belarus’ political prisoners, and to stand against human rights violations in Belarus.

The ‘Solidarity with Belarus’ concert, led by the ‘Free Belarus’ Initiative, has taken place every year since 2006 (except 2010). The event is co-organised by the “Stołeczna Estrada” Concert Agency, Belsat TV channel and Radio Racyja with the support of the Warsaw City authorities, Stefan Batory Foundation, Kondrad Adenauer Stiftung, Catholic Intelligentsia Club, Open Dialog Foundation, and MEP Pawel Zalewski.
