Exhibition ‘Belarus in Focus’ Thursday, 5th April 2012, 12.00

2011 in Belarus: the brutal dispersal of peaceful protests, searches and mass repressions, presidential candidates behind bars, tens of other political prisoners. A serious economic crisis and a terrorist act, which destroyed the myth of Belarus as the most stable country.

New mass protests – the ‘silent’ revolution through social networks. All of this was captured in the lenses of Belarusian photo reporters.

Solidarity with Belarus Information Office and Press Club Polska, with the support of the Canadian Embassy in Warsaw, warmly invite you to the official exhibition opening of ‘Belarus in Focus’ at Press Club Polska, Dom Polonii, ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 64, at 12.00 on Thursday, 5th April, 2012.

Belarusian photo reporters will discuss the conditions in which they work and the stories behind some of the images exhibited. The exhibition will be displayed on stands outside Dom Polonii.
