Stefan Eriksson wins Mark Palmer Prize at Community of Democracies 2013

Stefan Eriksson was awarded the Mark Palmer prize, a prize for diplomats advancing democracy during the VII Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies on April 26-27, 2013, hosted in Mongolia’s capital of Ulaanbataar.

Stefan Eriksson served as Swedish ambassador to Belarus from 2008 to 2012. SBIO is very pleased that Mr. Eriksson’s work has been valued by the international democratic community and warmly congratulates Mr. Eriksson on his award.

Other recipients of the award were Suren Badral, Mongolian Ambassador-at-Large, who has served as the Coordinator for the Mongolian Presidency of the Community of Democracies since 2011 and Christopher Stevens, the United States ambassador to Libya, who was killed in a terrorist act on September 11, 2012.
